LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER AND CEO

Dear Guest,

Since 2005, Heritage Hotels & Resorts has been a cornerstone of the New Mexico community. Our journey began two decades ago with a mission to highlight the state's rich, vibrant culture through an authentic perspective, using our hotels as the connection point. This mission has been realized through countless moments of storytelling, celebration, service, and dedication that have left a lasting impact on both our local communities and travelers from around the world.

For 20 years, we've proudly embraced our role as custodians of New Mexico's culture, history, and traditions. It's been an honor to bring these stories to the masses, offering visitors a deeper understanding and appreciation of the state in a way that typical travel experiences simply can't provide.

To stay at one of our properties is to step into another time and place–one that celebrates craftsmanship, art, architecture, design, cuisine, accommodations, and a spirit unique only to the Southwest. Our portfolio of hotels is equal parts enriching and dynamic, setting the stage for your most treasured moments and celebrations, getaways, and moments of respite.

You, our guests, are at the heart of our mission. You are the very reason we have the privilege of continuing our work. By visiting one of our hotels, you are contributing to the depth of your own story while supporting many, many others. This year, we invite you to join us in reflecting on all that we've accomplished, the ways we've honored our communities with pride and thoughtfulness, and how we're moving forward with even more passion and commitment than ever before.

Together, we'll continue to preserve the past, celebrate the present, and shape the future of New Mexico. Here's to the next 20.

Gourd Sound Healing at El Monte Sagrado

Conducted by Taos native Benito Concha, a musician and holistic health expert, this 75-minute cleansing ritual is based around the playing of instruments created and devised around Taos Pueblo and its valleys. Each individual or group session incorporates various hand-crafted instruments that Concha plays to elicit a calming and grounding feeling for guests.

The 4 Elements Ritual at Inn & Spa at Loretto

A profound ritual designed to connect one to the spirit of New Mexico, the ceremony begins with a Native American smudge blessing to clear away stagnant energies and reset one's intentions. Guests will then move into a spa bath infused with local Santa Fe lemongrass and white sage soaking salts, where they will be lulled into a centered state and their tensions begin to soften. The ritual is followed by a relaxing 80-minute Himalayan hot stone massage. After the experience concludes, participants will be provided with their own Taos sage bundle to take home along with the native smudging prayer.

Cacao Signature Renewal at Hotel Chaco

Inspired by the discovery of cacao at Chaco Canyon, and paired with local honey, this luxurious body treatment is the definition of “superfood” for the skin. The treatment starts with a deep-cleansing cacao body scrub that exfoliates dead cells and prepares the skin for a nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory cacao moisture mask. This helps protect and repair skin from premature aging and environmental damage. Following the luxurious body wrap, an organic honey body cream is applied during a full body massage to provide intense hydration and powerful antioxidant protection. Next, the body is spritzed with a restorative propolis toner that is harvested from Taos beehives. Rich in flavonoids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, propolis has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties and will leave one's skin soft, supple, and glowing.
